Most 1967 pressings, like this one, of this popular "party" record are found worn out or in less than desireable condition in current days...This 43 year old BRITISH artifact of the sixties psych scene has been in relatively careful hands and makes for a valuable collectible.

Jimi Hendrix's debut recording was an instant classic, and is as startling today as when it first hit the streets in 1967. ARE YOU EXPERIENCED? is probably the most rock-oriented of Hendrix's official studio releases, but its influences are incredibly diverse. "Third Stone From The Sun" recalls the supple octaves of acid trips psychedelia... the churning tribal polyrhythms of "Manic Depression" evoke John Coltrane; "I Don't Live Today" employs ritualistic Native American drumbeats; and the title tune borrows the Eastern airs of sitarist masters...all enveloped with sonic rushes of magic fingered feedback frenzies...

CONDITION: THE COVER: Solid front and back with bright vibrant colors "EX" (excellent) to M- and highly... readily... collectible ...no split seams, etc. light bottom corner crease (very light, doesn't go through to back) keeps it from M- which it otherwise is (M-) including M- back cover that almost ALWAYS has wear - not this copy!
THE VINYL: is all clean and glossy both sides except for some stray superficial scuffs, nothing close to bad, visual VG++ and plays outstanding...with clean steamboat Reprise labels...
