FOLKROCK - GARAGE ROCK - PSYCHEDELIC
(With Love) A POT OF FLOWERS
\ USA - MAINSTREAM RECORDS - S/6100 stereo
CLEAN....RARE and SOUGHT ... Original 1966 first pressing vinyl on the famously collected MAINSTREAM label, home to several garage & psych winners like the Art Of Lovin' Tangerine Zoo, Lincoln Steet Exit, Bohemian Vendetta, etc etc...
So here, the Mainstream label, on what they title appropriately "(With Love) A POT OF FLOWERS" features 4 different garage & psych bands that fit the mold of the other garage/psych rockers on the label...a tastey selection through both sides featuring THE WILDFLOWER -- HARBINGER COMPLEX -- EUPHORIA ~~ & THE OTHER SIDE. all whom never made albums, but did release some delicious local 45's during their relatively short lifetime... The album runs the gamut from mind-altering psychedelia to jangly folkrock to Anglophilic rockers as follows....the Wildflower, pioneering garage jangle guitars led folk-rockers were an early fixture at the Fillmore and Avalon; San Jose's popular garage rock band the Otherside; legendary East Bay garage punks the Harbinger Complex; and, from southern California, the idiosyncratic Euphoria, whose off-beat take on psychedelia has given the group a cult reputation. Album liner notes provide context with both the group's individual histories ... In line of Mainstream's activities on the West Coast.

Euphoria - Hungry Women
The Other Side - Streetcar
