WITH MUCH APPRECIATION TO ALL OUR CUSTOMERS:  If you have a question on orders received, please contact us.  We take Customer Service seriously, and want you to be satisfied.   When leaving Feedback, please consider the following:  eBay's policy on the 5-star rating system is anything less than a 5  reduces our standing with eBay and ultimately can affect our selling abilities.   SO please give us 5 stars in each category through the feedback system, and we will be able to effectively continue to fulfill your passion for rare and collectible music!  We have served thousands of satisfied customers  - far more than our feedback records indicate - and our aim is to continue to do so.
We have a VPI machine and thoroughly clean all records.   Each order is carefully packaged by removing the LP from the jacket to avoid seam splits, use of  2/3 ml plastic cover sleeves over each LP and jacket, cardboard pad inserts, and placed in sturdy record mailers.

We mail all paid orders out once a week on Fridays/Saturdays.  Please keep in mind our listings are time consuming in detail and we are often traveling to find these gems, which at times delays the delivery schedule to Monday.   We strive to keep our shipping and handling costs as close to actual charges as reasonable.  We ALWAYS process and ship every paid order.  Please be aware we have no control over parcels once they are mailed from our local Post Office.

TO OUR REPEAT CUSTOMERS:  We are happy to hold orders to save on shipping.  Please pay your current invoice within five days of auctions ending and, if you request, we will hold your order and reflect a shipping discount for each additional order shipped together in the same parcel.

As always, thank you for your support!

TOP 1969 Collectible

So hard to find MINTY CLEAN 1969 Original first pressing vinyl of the great 4th album by Steppenwolf...in thick gatefold cover....

"MONSTER" by Californian rockers extraordinaire Steppenwolf, were of course led by charismatic lead singer John Kay, who also penned most of their material, which is a great example of how rock music became a most potent weapon during the social / political upheaval in the US at the time of its release. Most of the songs on this album are full of bitterness and sarcasm and bear strong commentary on the American political system and of course its involvement in the then current, ongoing war. Kay, as most rockers at the time, was a representative of the rebellious young generation, which looked upon politicians with disgust and despise, letting his opinion to be heard. Considering Rock's immense popularity at the time, performers had a wide audience and therefore were widely influential, which was a major factor in their struggle for change. Of course in retrospect we all know that governments remained corrupt and often immoral, but the struggle brought these issues to the awareness of an entire generation. As to the music, it is as good as the other earlier Steppenwolf material at the time...Monster/Suicide/America" starts it off with what is suggested in the title - political criticism (largely Vietnam, of course) juxtaposed with pleasant, sometimes heavy and melodic melodies. Toward the end, it turns into something downright anthemic, complete with female co-vocals and sitar mixed in.

The rest of the album maintains the solid style of early Steppenwolf, sometimes in the vein of early Iron Butterfly, but with a little more cross-cultural awareness.
For the generation that never heard this music at the time it was created, here is an opportunity to plunge into history and enjoy it while doing it.

  1. "Monster" (Kay, Edmonton) / "Suicide"  / "America"  – 9:15
  2. "Draft Resister"  – 3:20
  3. "Power Play"  – 5:26
  4. "Move Over"  – 2:53
  5. "Fag"  – 3:13
  6. "What Would You Do (If I Did That To You)"  – 3:19
  7. "From Here To There Eventually"  – 5:27
