Please keep in mind our listings are time consuming in detail and we are often traveling to find these gems, which at times delays the delivery schedule by a day or two. We have no control over parcels once they are mailed from our local Post Office.Overseas mail to some countries (Italy, Russia, France, in particular) has become very slow. Opening a dispute for slow mail is unacceptable and will result in blocking the bidder. We work hard to provide excellent service as is represented by our 8000 plus positive feedback.   We use a VPI machine and thoroughly clean all records. Each order is carefully packaged by removing the LP from the jacket to avoid seam splits, use of 3 ml plastic cover sleeves over each LP and jacket, cardboard pad inserts, and placed in sturdy record mailers for safe delivery.   We take Customer Service seriously, and want you to be satisfied. The 1970 3rd Spooky Tooth album is one of the most intense trips of its kind ~ a way out hallucinogenic mind adventure... drenched in freaky sound effects...dropping acid to this LP  would ensure the listener of never coming back...

Quite possibly the weirdest entry in the list of Catholic-Mass-as-psych-prog albums. This is a brainchild of the great SPOOKY TOOTH in their prime with french composer Pierre Henry, the XXth century classical/avantgarde artist, known for his experimental electronic music and musique concrete works. He enlisted a heavy British blues-rock band Spooky Tooth as studio musicians. The end product sounds kinda like Hawkwind with Stockhausen instead of Dik Mik manning the electronics. The resulting LP was marketed as a Spooky Tooth album, a flipped-out one indeed ~ trip to the center head flooded by powerful raining sound effects, meaty acid guitar ravings and shrieking pleading vocals that'll warm your soul...a mind melting masterpiece indeed!

"Ceremony" begins with a Kingdom Come style organ vamp and some Galactic Zoo wailing as Mike Harrison begs for mercy from a vengeful deity that has its cosmic plaform boot planted firmly on the singer's windpipe ~~ the guitars run wild alongside the kind of extraneous avant-Prog noises that even Roky Erikson and Arthur Brown would have arched an eyebrow at.

As the brutal guitars reach a climax of melodically challenged soloing the track cuts short and the record switches into another "Child In Time" styled God bothering freak-out which stalls not once but twice for interludes of a-melodic gulping, treated speaker hum and showering down upon of bent sound effects. Harrison then dissolves into a puddle of admirably rhythmic gibbering idiocy while he duets with himself on the theme of universal harmony and Luther once again finds that his top string will bend a long long way in the service of Jesus the Hippie King. Ridley and Kellie wisely find a riff and stick to it. A riff so gloriously heavy that Black Sabbath would have stolen the whole thing if they hadn't been tripping so madly! It's the most demented recording you'll have heard since "666" or Magma's "MDK".

The record continues in this broad vein through 45 minutes of addled pomposity though to their credit the band manage to puncture their own Prog balloon at every stage with some performances of epic nuttiness. By track five they are in full-on Elevators territory but an Elevators built on "Sweet Leaf" as its template rather than "Out Of Our Heads". Fans of Agitation Free and Cosmic Jokes will love this!

CONDITION: The cover: Solid on all parts, in original factory shrink wrap and "EX" (excellent)... the only 'thing' keeping it from MINT grade is a little shelf wear is showing near pocket opening where the outer cellophane wrapper was pulled away (from the pocket)...otherwise MINT...so hard to find this 40 year old LP clean...most orig copies are worn badly ...this copy with no split saeams, no bends, no writing....

The vinyl: all glossy clean and clear over both sides, M- with clean labels too...play grade was outstanding...thrilling...
