We mail all paid items ONE WEEK after auctions end. Our listings are time consuming in detail and we are often traveling to find these gems, which at times delays the delivery schedule by a day or two. We ALWAYS process and ship every paid order. We have no control over parcels once they are mailed from our local Post Office. Overseas mail to some countries (Italy, Russia, France, in particular) has become very slow. Opening a dispute for slow mail is unacceptable. We work hard to provide excellent service as is represented by our well over 18,000 positive feedback. We use an ultrasonic KLAudio machine and thoroughly clean all records. Each order is carefully packaged by removing the LP from the jacket to avoid seam splits, use of 3 ml plastic cover sleeves over each LP and jacket, cardboard pad inserts, and placed in sturdy record mailers for safe delivery. We take Customer Service seriously, and want you to be satisfied. ...melodic, mysterious, powerful vocals backed by a musical trip through a bizarre land of infectious theatric drama ... Ange was the most prolific and the best progressive rock band coming out of France in the early 70's...
The Arlequins Cemetery was one of the best albums to come out of the early 70's underground progressive scene. Christian Decamps'vocals are never anything less than pure and utter theatrics emotions, and his backing vehicle is the dark and powerful chords churned out by his brother Francis' farfisa organ. Great guitar enhancements are mixed in by Jean-Michael Brezovar, along with a very tight rhythm section.
The music on The Arlequins Cemetery is heavy and very dark, which is as equally attributable to the murky, bass-heavy production as the arrangements themselves. Pieces including the 11-minute "Bivouac" suite and the beautiful "De Temps En Temps" are truly outstanding compositions and are also indicative of the stronger presence of a classical influence relative to subsequent recordings. The music of Ange is so theatrical that one can't really compare it to any one English band, but Van Der Graff Generator joining hands with the Genesis of the same 1971-1975 years, adding some King Crimson to the mix and possibly 5% of Black Sabbath could get us close. Christian DeCamps has raised the bar of what could be considered singing. He sometimes sings with a beautiful voice, sometimes he just talks and sometimes screams and is always very dramatic.
