The second album from the hard rockers kicked their career into high gear. Out of left field, the album track of "D.O.A." was picked up by freeform FM radio stations and became an instant classic with it's brooding, macabre subject matter and dark instrumentation. The song was quickly released as a single and the band found themselves on American Top 40 with the biggest hit of their career...
Bloodrock became a hitmaking proposition thanks to the success of "D.O.A." which graphically recounts the last thoughts of a plane-crash victim, became a surprise pop chart hit thanks to its powerfully spooky arrangement. Overall the best moments on Bloodrock 2 are those that go for the spooky feel of the first album: "Fallin'" uses crashing drums and descending riffs to bring the lyric's mood of depression to life, and "D.O.A.," Ultimately, Bloodrock's second album offers solid tracks that appeal to hrdrock fans of the early 70's sound. The band was linked to GRAND FUNK RAILROAD : famed producer Terry Knight was behind the two bands, as a manager and a spiritual adviser too. BLOODROCK's compositions are thick and massive, their songs are well-written and technically convincing.

CONDITION: The Cover: solid all over M- in the original factory shrink wrapper that comntains the little seen TOE TAG sticker... top level with no split saeams, no bends, no writing.
The Vinyl: all glossy clean and clear "EX" (excellent) to M- with no more than a few hard to see soft inner sleeve paper scuffs...plays excellent & enjoyable.
