Brilliant & Essential Reissue of Top Ska Tunes from the Vaults of Justin Yap's Top Deck ~ recorded from his surviving master tapes and issued back in 2002
8 x 7" colour vinyl box set with info insert, with each disc having it's own catalogue number (JY-101 through to JY-108) and housed in a brown die-cut Top Deck "Stamped" sleeve
"Justin "Phillip" Yap's Top Deck label produced some of Jamaica's most dynamic ska recordings between 1962 & 1966 and utilised the formidable talents of The Skatalites ; Roland Alphonso, Don Drummond, Tommy McCook, Johnny Moore, Baba Brooks, Jackie Mittoo, Lynn Taitt, Lloyd Brevett, Lloyd Knibbs, and Raymond Harper, plus a variety of vocalists recorded variously at JBC, Federal and Studio One's Brentford Road studios. This set showcases some of the highlights of the Top Deck catalogue
