I AM BACK TO LISTING LPs OF VARIOUS MUSICAL STYLES FOR THE NEXT FEW WEEKS - This is a reasonably priced ORIGINAL 1963 U.S. PRESS JOSIE RECORDS MONAURAL LP (NOT THE RECENT 180 GRAM REISSUE) titled 'Bustin' Surfboards', a mainly instrumental LP with two vocal tracks from Redlands California surf band The Tornadoes. It is Josie Records catalog number 4005, tan labels with blue print, thick rigid vinyl pressing. This compilation includes The Tornadoes' Aertaun Records single 'Bustin' Surfboards', plus the following other tracks: Malaguena, Summertime, The Tornado, The Gremmie, Bumble Bee Stomp, Moon Dawg, Vacquero, Old Shep, Shootin' Beavers, Johnny B. Goode, The Inebriated Surfer. Visual condition of record is conservatively a mid VG+ with a small amount of surface marks which cannot be felt and do not affect play. Condition of cover is also VG+ with a black rubber stamp at the upper right corner of the front cover showing the name and military serial number of a previous owner as can be seen in my accompanying image, a very light stain at the lower right corner of the back cover, the very tiny 1/8" long beginnings of splits at the right-hand corners, some contact wear, and some wear along the edges and on the corners. Cover has no other splits, tears, or stickers. This scarce LP would be a choice addition to any vintage surf rock-n-roll record collection!
