Condizioni : copertina apribile in cartone rigido che mostra nel suo interno alcune macchie giallognole dovute probabilmente alla caduta di un liquido lungo i bordi inferiori, si osservi per cortesia la foto 3, mentre ancora internamente, all'estremità del lato verticale destro della sua prima parte, sono visibili alcune tracce bianche di una qualche sostanza fissante, pur adesso senza la minima appiccicosità, che poteva tener fermo un manifesto o la fascetta "obi" che qui non è presente. Il fronte e il retro presentano all'esterno una leggera consunzione lungo i bordi inferiori destri; bello stato, VG++ / vinile con alcuni leggeri segni che condizionano moderatamente l'ascolto con qualche leggero clicks e pochi momenti di fruscio superficiale; bello stato, EX

Condition : hard cover gatefold sleeve shows inside some yellowish stains probably due to the fall of a liquid along the lower edges, please look to photo n° 3, while still inside, at the extremity of right vertical side of the first part are visible some white traces of a fixative substance, although now without any stickiness, which could hold a poster, or obi stripe not present here. Outside the front and the back have a slight consumption along the right bottom edges, VG++ / vinyl has some light scuffs which affect moderately listening with a few slight clicks and short moments of light surface noise, EX

GRADAZIONE RIGOROSA - STRICTLY GRADED

Copertine e vinili sono visualmente gradati dopo un’attenta osservazione sotto la luce del sole fatta sulla mia terrazza a tetto. Nelle giornate grigie vengono controllati sotto una forte lampada alogena con l’aiuto di una lente d’ingrandimento. Tutti i i 33 giri in asta sono stati interamente ascoltati su un giradischi Rega Planar 3 fornito di una testina a magnete mobile Grado Statement 1. Per EP e singoli a 45 giri utilizzo un Thorens TD 166 BC con testina, sempre MM, Goldring 1006. Ritenendo che le abituali classificazioni quali Mint, Ex, Vg, ecc., ecc… siano poco significative per spiegare le reali condizioni dei dischi ed anche estremamente soggettive, precedo sempre tali classificazioni con una breve descrizione degli eventuali difetti che ho riscontrato, ad eccezione di Mint- che il più alto grado che conferisco a qualsiasi disco. Soltanto per le copie ancora sigillate all’origine utilizzo MINT/MINT.

Sleeves and vinyls are visually graded after a careful check in bright sunshine on my roof terrace. In the gray days I watch the records under a strong halogen lamp with the help of a magnifying glass. All LPs in auction have been fully heard on a Rega Planar 3 turntable with a Grado Statement 1 moving magnet cartridge. I listen EPs and singles 45 rpm. on a Thorens TD 166 BC turntable with a Goldring 1006 MM cartridge. Considering that the usual classifications such as Mint, EX, Vg, etc…, etc… are not significant to explain the real condition of the records in addition to a total subjectivity of opinion, I always introduce before these classifications a short description concerning any defects I have verified with the exception of Mint minus, the highest grade I declare. I use MINT/MINT exclusively for the still from factory sealed copies.

Note : il mondo delle corse automobilistiche con le amicizie, le rivalità, amarezze e successi dei piloti efficacemente descritti dalla colonna sonora di Mayuzumi. Dopo la ballata "Traveling on" cantata in Inglese da

Yûjirô Ishihara ben supportato da un valido accompagnamento ritmico, si odono i frastuoni delle automobili alla partenza di una gara mentre una melodia ricca di percussività apre la lunga suite che occupa entrambi i lati del disco. Io la chiamerei Elegia del Rally per Orchestra con assoli di violino e chitarra, rumori di auto da corsa, e dialoghi e monologhi in Giapponese e Francese : le lingue parlate dai due piloti protagonisti del film. Senza alcuna interruzione la colonna sonora alterna o anche unisce musica con voci umane e ruggiti di motori. Verso la metà del primo lato si può ascoltare una bella chitarra elettrica dalla ritmica adatta al ballo presto messa in sottofondo per i dialoghi che si sovrappongono al suo riff. Nel secondo lato è molto apprezzabile l'intensa liricità trasmessa da un dotatissimo violinista con l'accompagnamento dell’orchestra. I personaggi del film continuano a parlare in Giapponese, in Francese e si sente anche brevemente uno speaker che utilizza l'Inglese. Dal rally di Montecarlo al Safari rally del Kenya, le vite dei piloti sotto l’aspetto agonistico e umano ed in particolare il rapporto difficile con le rispettive mogli : questo è quanto scaturisce dal parlato nel disco a cui fanno corona le frenate rabbiose, le sbandate, i brutti incidenti, lo sfrecciare a tutto gas alle partenze ed agli arrivi. La musica talvolta alleggerisce tensione e fatica, talvolta sottolinea i momenti drammatici o enfatizza i momenti di gloria. Infine menziono un interessante e suggestivo monologo in Francese di Emmanuelle Riva con un canto tribale Africano in sottofondo.

Notes : the world of motor racing with the friendships, rivalries, disappointments and successes of the drivers effectively described from the soundtrack of Mayuzumi. After the ballad "Traveling On" sung by Yûjirô Ishihara in English well supported by a good lively accompaniment, you can hear the noises of the cars at the start of a race while a fairly percussive melody opens the long suite that occupies both sides of the record. I would call it Rally Elegy for Orchestra with violin and guitar as soloists and sounds of racing cars, dialogues and monologues in Japanese and French: the languages ??spoken by two pilots who are the film’s protagonists. Without interruption the soundtrack alternates or combines music with human voices and roaring engines. Towards the middle of the first side you can hear a beautiful electric guitar riff suited for dancing early enough in the background for the dialogues overpowering its sonorities. On the second side it is greatly to appreciate the intense lyricism conveyed by a well-gifted violinist with the accompaniment of the orchestra. The movie's characters continue to speak in Japanese, in French and you can also shortly hear a speaker who uses English. From the Monte Carlo rally to the Safari Rally in Kenya, the lives of drivers under the competitive and human aspects in particular the difficult relationships with their wives: this is what comes from the spoken on the album surrounded by violent braking, skids, ugly incidents, starts and finish lines at full speed. The music sometimes relieves tension and strain, sometimes emphasizes the dramatic moments chariots of fire. Finally I mention an interesting and magnetic monologue in French by Emmanuelle Riva with an African tribal chant in the background.

La regia è di Koreyoshi Kurahara, con Ruriko Asaoka, Yûjirô Ishihara, Emmanuelle Riva, Jean-Claude Drouot, Toshiro Mifune, Alain Kuny e Tatsuya Nakadai.
