Description
This is an ORIGINAL 1979 COLUMBIA RECORDS U.S. 10" OCTAGONAL SHAPED 45 RPM PICTURE DISC SINGLE containing the tune titled 'Georgy Porgy' from popular mainstream rockers Toto on both sides of the disc. It is Columbia Records U.S. catalog number X5S 165792, deduced from the Matrix / Runout (Runout both sides): XSS 165792-1C PD. Shaped picture disc comes packaged in its original clear plastic liner. The rear flap of the plastic liner is sealed shut with a round clear plastic seal which appears to never have been opened or tampered with. There is a long piece of clear plastic trapped under half of the seal, which appears to have originated during packaging at the factory.
Condition of shaped picture disc appears to be a SOLID NM with no visible flaws; as stated above the plastic liner appears to be sealed shut and never having been opened so I have not removed the picture disc for closer inspection. The original clear plastic outer liner is VG+ with a few wrinkles and a little contact wear and one very tiny tear at one lower corner tears, no other real flaws.
This original 1979 issue shaped picture disc 45 is a RARE FIND and would be a nice addition to any Toto, 1980s rock, or shaped picture disc record collection! $4.13 shipping via USPS Media Mail.
