Record

The record has a beautiful appearance, lays 100% flat on the turntable and has no warping. Under bright light I could see just a few light thin hair-line trails visible, and one or two tiny surface marks. There are no stylus scratches or scuffs. It was great to see an album this scarce in this great condition and I can grade side one Excellent Plus, side two a shade less at Excellent

Labels

The red and white Deram labels show 2 or 3 spindle lines on side one, and 4 or 5 on side two. There is no spindle hole wear. The labels are graded Excellent Plus

Cover

The Garrod and Lofthouse laminated cover is in strong excellent condition. The front shows some half moon laminate creases and also some laminate creases close to the spine. There is no ring-wear. The rear cover is even better with just a couple of laminate creases only and of course no ring-wear.

The top and bottom edges show no storage wear. The spine is straight with no compression. There are two small areas of rubbing about half way down the spine where the laminate has split. A minor defect only and does not affect any of the spine text which is all clear and legible. The two bottom front cover corners show a small amount of rubbing, the remaining ones are fine.

The inside gatefold is fault free with no ring-wear or blemishes.

The cover is graded Excellent.

Inner Sleeve

The inner sleeve is in excellent condition

Sound Quality

The sound quality is superb throughout. The run in grooves are silent and the album is hiss and crackle free and plays with no distortion. The album has clearly only been played very lightly and on a good quality system. There was nothing at all to fault throughout, an exceptional playing album!

All of my listed records are carefully visually inspected under bright light and play graded before auction to avoid any disappointment to buyers, so bid with confidence.

The grading system I use is from Record Collector: - Mint, Excellent, Very Good with +/- to distinguish borderline grades (see below)

Mint. This is in brand new un-played condition.

Excellent. Some signs of being played, but very little lessening of sound quality. There can be minor cover wear and/or creasing.

Very Good. Visual evidence of many plays including noticeable surface marks and light scratches. There should be no major deterioration of sound quality however. The cover can have light/moderate wear but no major defects.

A full no quibble refund for the cost of the record will be offered if you are not satisfied for ANY reason.

I treat all vinyl with the greatest respect whether £5 or £50, so all records are sent out with plastic covers in professional mailers and two protective cardboard stiffeners. I always separate records from their covers and original inner sleeves

for posting to prevent seam splits occurring during shipping.

It is the buyer’s responsibility to take out any insurance cover required. I would advise insurance to be taken out on any item sale greater than £30.00 as protection against loss or damage during shipping. Without this additional insurance the full value of items above £30.00 that are lost or damaged will NOT be able to be recovered.

Following the close of the auction I will send an invoice within twenty four hours. All winning bidders must make contact within three days of the end of the auction or I reserve the right to withdraw the item or select the second chance option and offer the item to another bidder.
