Description
Full-Length LP from Townes Van Zandt titled "Our Mother The Mountain" released by Poppy (PYS 40004) in 1969. Scarce original U.S. pressing of Townes Van Zandt's second album. The 11 songs that make up this album are considered by many to be the best delivered on one effort. Simple production benefits the poetic and often sorrowful lyrics that Townes' voice suits perfectly for the subject matter. Wonderful record!

Labels are in EXCELLENT condition. Vinyl record is in GOOD+ to VERY GOOD- condition with decent luster and several light scratches/surface marks (no gouges) that cannot be felt with the fingertips. Plays with noticeable surface noise and tics but nothing overbearing...fidelity is excellent with no distortion...still an enjoyable, very good sounding record. Gatefold cover is in VERY GOOD- condition with wear at corners, some edgewear, a paper split (not worn all the way through) at center of spine, some creasing, ringwear and general surface wear. Original commercial Poppy inner sleeve has near complete splits on two edges, a split at center of bottom edge and creasing at three corners. Vinyl record will be shipped in a new generic white paper sleeve.
All vinyl albums are shipped in protective cardboard mailers with cardboard flats and bubble wrap for safe shipping.
