Matrix
Side One: 2310217 A//2
Side Two: 2310 217 B//2
The sleeve is in vg+ condition. There is a small tear in the rear of the sleeve opening keeping this from excellent. SA scratch on the rear, some light spotting on the rear and some corner wear. Far more presentable than the description suggests, we want you to be happy with what you receive. There is no writing, splits or bends.
The labels are in excellent condition. There is just the very slightest touch of spindle wear and just a few short spider marks.
Visually the vinyl is generally excellent with few signs of play. However we need to downgrade to vg+ because of one feelable scuff on the run in and just into track one on side one. I have pictured the scuff on one of the super sized images below. Thsi scuff sounds.
Playback for 99% of the album is excellent, even the quiet parts play beautifully with just the odd touch of crackle but only very occasionally. A wonderful crisp deep stereo sound.
The scuff on side one makes a loud "wush" sound each time it goes round. This lasts for 20 seconds into the introduction of the first track. The introduction comes in slowly and is just one long high pitched note, the "wush" sound has pretty much gone when the song starts to appear. It is only 20 seconds interference and then wonderful playback.
Played on a sensitive set up with a Nagaoka cartridge and elliptical stylus through Mordaunt Short MS 815's.
Please note that our grading has nothing to do with the age of the record, we grade all records the same whether they are 40 years old or 1 year old.
CONDITION
Sleeve: VG+ (No splits, writing or bends. Has a scratch on the rear, some corner wear, light spotting and a small tear on the rear sleeve opening)
Record visual: Excellent (still has its original sheen with only light signs of being played, but does have a feelable thick scuff in the run in of side one, ending just inside the begining of track one)
Record playback: VG+ to Excellent (heavy wushing sound from the scuff on each rotation on side one that lasts for 20 seconds of the introduction of track one, after that the album plays really nicely with a crisp stereo sound)
Our grading is strict so as not to disappoint, we have been selling on ebay since 1998 & know how important this is. Grading of records is done with the record angled under a 100 Watt bulb. Scans are of actual item up for auction. All records are packed securely & most importantly packed outside of the picture sleeve (in a plain inner sleeve) so as to avoid seam splits during shipping.

Near Mint
Almost mint. Very minor paper scuffs and very little else can appear on the vinyl. This will most likely have occurred during packaging, or removing the record from the inner sleeve but obviously it had been handled with extreme care. Any flaw should be very hard to see. The cover should look as close to perfect with only minor signs of wear and/or age. Minor impressions to the cover (due to the outer edge of the vinyl resting inside) may be acceptable, however the artwork should be as close to perfect as can be.
Excellent
An excellent condition for vinyl will allow minor scuffs (Scuffs lay on top of the grooves) which are visible but only slightly. The wear should be minimal. The play should be close to perfect as well. Some impression to the cover (minor outer ring wear) but no ink wear. Some slight creases to the corners, but not wrinkled and obtrusive to the eye. The corners can show a little white, meaning slight wear. No seam splits or writing on the cover or taped repairs.
VG++
As Excellent but with a larger number of scuffs, maybe a couple of hairlines (very light scratch that can't be felt) or a couple of marks. Sound quality should still be very close to that of an Excellent record with only minor crackle in quiet segments only, NO scratches that can be felt. Cover as Excellent but there may be a small seam split on the cover, or a very minimal amount of writing like a name written in small writing or a number. A VG++ record should be an acceptable record to live with if you aren't looking to pay the price of a Near Mint copy.
