TRAD GRAS OCH STENAR

S/T

  • Label: Decibel DRS 3702

    LISTEN

This is an orignial copy of the first album by the most famous scandinavian proggresive and psychedelic band TRÄD GRÄS OCH STENAR. This fantastic and wild quartet plays music that recalls The mothers of Invention as much as more obscure swedish bands as Charlie and Esdor and Stenblomma. This is their debut and the first side contains two covers by Bob Dylans´s "All Along the Watchtower" (maybe sounded more as Jimi Hendrix version) and The Rolling Stones "Satisfaction" — these Swedish guys had guts.

"All Along the Watchtower" is taken at a medetative tempo but with quite heavy fuzz guittars. “Satisfaction” opens with a fabulous extended freakout and the track lasts over ten minutes. Side two consists of two original songs and two spontaneous live tracks. The first song “Sanningens silverflod” is a just amazing acid-folk, psych song with great guittars and laidback vocals and great female choirs. It almost sound as Amon Duul II combined with kraut-rock. Led by two Jew's harps and a violin, "Svarta Pärla" has strong folk overtones. See allso my auction with the pre-Trad Gras och Stenar band Harvester and Träd Gräs och Stenars album Mors Mors.

MY GRADINGS:

M-:

Next to perfect, what many should grade Mint

VG+:

Only the slightest problem, sleeve a little grubby, record have a few hairlines.  Nothing audible at most of the times, maybe just before the record starts or quiet parts.

VG:

Some marks or heavier wear, some of it audible but not making that much of noise, some lighter backgrounds noise or maybe a pop at a few second. Sleeve may have heavier wear, usually shown in the picture.

My grading is strict and most of my records full on the grade VG+. I use M-, VG+, VG and on the rare occasion VG-
