Description

  • The Best Of Traffic is a greatest hits compilation released by United Artists Records in 1969. The all-star band of Dave Mason, Jim Capaldi, Steve Winwood, and Chris Wood were together for less than two years before moving on to other projects. They produced some great, but largely under appreciated music, although the band was finally inducted into the Rock Hall Of Fame in 2004.

  • This copy (UAS 5500) if from the first U.S. pressing in 1969 and is in good shape. The cover is intact with only minor ring wear and I grade it VG+.  The disc test plays cleanly and I also rate it VG+ which is as high as I go on vintage vinyl. The Side 1 dead wax is etched UAS-5500 1 11-14-69 K.

  • In addition to its original packaging, this album will come with a high quality Anti-Static Round Bottom Sleeve to hold the vinyl disc and a sturdy 3 mil. polyethylene Archival Quality Outer Sleeve.  It will ship securely in the special corrugated Album Mailer seen in the last picture. 

  • This vintage 12" vinyl album has been sitting upright on a shelf in climate controlled storage for the past 51 years. It has not been played in decades other than a quick test spin for this sale which found no skips or obvious flaws. Like all used records it should be cleaned and wiped with an anti-static brush to minimize the occasional pops that are part of playing vinyl albums. Buyers should note that this is a well-cared for but used record and it will have some minor imperfections.
