John Barleycorn Must Die is the fourth studio album by the English rock band Traffic, released in 1970, on Island Records in the United Kingdom, and United Artists in the United States, catalogue UAS 5504. It peaked at number 5 on the Billboard 200, their highest charting album in the US,[1]and has been certified a gold record by the RIAA. In addition, the single "Empty Pages" spent eight weeks on the Billboard Hot 100, peaking at number 74.[2] The album was marginally less successful in the UK, reaching number 11 on the UK Albums Chart.[3]

Textured Gatefold Sleeve VG. rubbing evident on spine corners, intermittent edge/corner wear , opening is fairly clean+kept considering also has writing on back some staining, inner gatefold has some wear and damage
Vinyl is very good +has surface marks plays with some noise and has some minor surface marks and brushing seen under strong light .
The textured Labels are in Excellent condition...pretty clean just some lite edge wear around spindle and a small stain, the White 'i' on A side is slightly of centre to its black outline
Inner sleeve VG...some lite tears off centre window, some folding and ageing evident, otherwise clean without any seam splits...

MINT; The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as sealed or unplayed should be Mint.

EXCELLENT; The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.

VERY GOOD; The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.

GOOD; The record has been played so muchthat the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc.

FAIR; The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced. I will not sell any vinyl below this grade.
