Description
This is a wonderful LP. It's a UK stereo pressing entitled 'Last Exit' By Traffic on the UK Island label. This album was released in 1969 and this is an early pressing. The catalogue number is ILPS 9097. The record features the exquisite vocals and instrumental prowess of Steve Winwood with the support of Dave Mason, Chris Wood and Jim Capaldi. It is the band's third album.
OUTER SLEEVE - The gatefold sleeve is in beautiful condition with some very minor wear and creasing. The top and bottom edges show minimal wear and the spine is almost perfect. The wording along the spine is 100% readable. The inner portion of the gatefold sleeve is in superb condition with some minimal wear. I have graded the sleeve as Ex++. It states on the inside of the sleeve - 'Printed and made by Ernest J. Day & Co. Ltd., London W. 11'.
INNER SLEEVE - This is a plain white diecut paper type with a clear polythene liner. It states on one side - 'PLASTIC BAGS CAN BE DANGEROUS...ETC.' - British Patent No. 800513 & 973939 MADE IN ENGLAND 4913 008 15801 431. The inner sleeve is slightly creased and I have graded it Ex.
RECORD - This is in fine condition. There are some surface marks on both sides which result in surface noise which is audible especially in quiet passages and between tracks. There are occasional pops and clicks but there are definitely no jumps or skips on either side. The labels which are the Island original black and orange 'eye' type with a pink surround and black wording are in fine condition. There are some spindle marks on both labels and the record has been well played. Side two is a live recording from the Fillmore West. The matrix numbers on the run-off grooves are - side one - ILPS + 9097 + A - side two - ILPS + 9097 + B. I have graded the record as Ex- and believe that this is very fair.
