Original 1967 U.K. first issue mono pressing released on the pink "eye" Island label ILP 961.

Description :

Very rare and hard to find psych classic that has become increasingly collectable over the last few years.

Mr. Fantasy is the debut album by English rock band Traffic. It was released in 1967. For the recording, group members included Jim Capaldi, Steve Winwood, Chris Wood, and Dave Mason, however Mason left the band before the album was released. The album reached the number 16 position in the UK albums chart, and number 88 in the American Billboard charts.

Both the US and UK editions were released in substantially different stereo and mono mixes. One song in particular, "Giving to You", was released in 3 different versions, including similar mono and stereo versions from the U.K. album, plus a very different mono U.K. b-side mix, which also was later included on the U.S. mono LP. The special U.K. b-side mix includes lyrics sung by Winwood during the introduction which are not heard on any other version.

Condition ~ Vinyl :

The vinyl is in simply stunning virtually unplayed NEAR MINT condition. Gorgeous!!!

Audio Quality :

The sound quality is absolutely superb with virtually no background noise at all, hardly even a click or a pop. It's a sheer delight to listen to. Stunningly crisp and clear!!!

Condition ~ Sleeve :

The classic laminated gatefold sleeve is in great shape with just light overall wear, a little laminate bubbling along the spine and a tiny 1cm split at the base of the spine. VG++ bordering on EXCELLENT condition.

Condition ~ Labels :

The first issue pink "eye" labels are in great shape with virtually no signs of having been played. No writing.
