Description
Traffic Mr Fantasy original mono pressing 1967. The record is almost immaculate to look at, with a real shine to it. There’s no doubt this has only been played a handful of times in it’s 56 years since release.
I have play tested the record on my upgraded Pro-Ject Debut Carbon DC with a Goldring E3 cart tracking at two grams. The turntable was connected to an Ifi Zen phono stage, into a Technics SU-A 700mk3 amplifier. I listened to the album on my Sennheiser HD 599se headphones. Not true audiophile, but excellent sounding. There’s a tiny amount of surface noise in the lead in groove on side one, otherwise plays beautifully considering it’s age. Side two has a bit of surface noise on the lead in and first few seconds of “Dealer”. After that it’s the same as side one. Labels on both sides are superb. The rough texture labels have barely noticeable spindle marks, and there are very few of them. To preserve it’s condition I’ve taken the decision to put it in a soft inner sleeve to prevent scratching. I would grade the sleeve as VG+. You can have a look at the extensive photos I’ve taken.
I have listed this at a decent price. I am selling this on behalf of my best friend who needs to replace his hi-fi amplifier. Will be sturdily packed. UK AUCTION ONLY! I’m not going to send this overseas.
