Description

Here we have a copy of Traffic's first album on the pink Island label with the circle logo. This copy is very early and is Mono. I have never seen or heard a better copy of this seminal piece of stoned out psychedelia. The vinyl is as clean as could be, almost like a new pressing on good thick vinyl, with barely any sign of marking around the centre holes on bothe labels. The disc comes in a nice old filmy inner bag with the advice to use Emitex. The cover is thin and very flat, so the spine and its clearly legible title is on the back. I didn't want to crease it round so left it where it was. It is near flawless with no lifting, dirt or nasty creases. It is a gatefold with the flipback on the inside which you see in one of the pictures. The dead wax matrices are hand written and very faint but are ILP 961 A-2 and B-2. No scratches or horribleness, clear and crisp vinyl that sounds as it was when first pressed. From the collection of an old colleague who was meticulous with vinyl, this is about the best any collector will ever find.
