Description

 Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays from    RareVinyL   ReCorDs.

This is an original 1964 USA issue of "SURFIN' BIRD" by THE TRASHMEN on Garrett Records GAS-200  and distributed by the SOMA Recording Company.

Though this group is considered a Surf group, it really was nothing more than a garage band from Minneapolis, Minnesota. They became a local phenomenon and then had their big national hit with "Bird". They would later fade into rock obscurity, However, this album displayed their talents very well and they were indeed an excellent sounding group.This is a STEREO PRESSING of the album.

The printing on the cover and spine as well as the record labels is sharp and clear and the paste over on the cover is on the front making it an original issue (Later issues have no printing on the spine and the paste over is placed on the back of the cover...not front).

The cover is graded as such: Top and bottom seams and the spine are MINT 9. The front is graded at NEAR-MINT 8 and the back is graded at MINT 9!

The record vinyl has gorgeous shiny vinyl and is graded at NEAR-MINT 8/9. Excellent sound quality. Again, some excellent sounds from this under appreciated garage band.
