Description

Travelon Gamelon:
Music for Bicycles by Richard Lerman

Folkways Records FX 6241 (released 1983)

Cover Condition: NM (near mint)
Record Condition: NM (near mint)

Notes on condition: I purchased this LP new, still sealed in shrinkwrap. I cut open one end of the shrinkwrap, and played the LP just once. That's all the use that's been made of it so far, so it's in beautiful, truly near-mint condition. The shrinkwrap is still on (if not sealed). The jacket shows no warping. Inside, you'll find the original liner note booklet as well as the original paper sleeve. The vinyl itself is in beautiful condition.

Note that the picture I've used is from the Folkways Web site. I don't have a digitial camera, so I can't take a photo of the copy for sale. But if you want to email me about it, feel free. I can answer any of your questions (except, of course, for "What does it all mean?!").

The LP comprises four recordings of gamelan pieces performed using amplified bicycles. Not much more to say about it than that! Richard Lerman is an important electroacoustic/experimental composer, and this is one of his earlier works, I believe.

High bidders in USA will pay $6 for S&H (I had to pay $2 for one of those nice LP mailers, and the rest is for postage). Overseas shipping costs will be dtermined at auction's close.

Happy bidding!!
