Increasingly rare and highly sought after 1970 UK 1st pressing, sparingly played with superb sound quality
Year/Label : 1970 UK CBS Label number : S 63837 Matrix numbers : S-63837-A1, S-63837-B1 Stampers : A 1 / A 1Excellent plus (EX+) condition vinyl - completely flat, weighty and retaining it's original jet black lacquered sheen and in daylight comes across as completely unmarked. With close inspection under a bright light the condition of the vinyl remains difficult to fault though it is just possible to make out a couple of very, very faint paper scuffs on each side and towards the end of side 1 a tiny, very faint, and just (only just) feelable hairline which does result in two very low level clicks about two thirds of the way through the final track on side 1. If it wasn't for this tiny blemish I would have no hesitation in grading the condition of the vinyl as "excellent plus" bordering upon "near mint". The labels are in excellent condition with just a couple of very faint spindle trails on each though slightly more noticeable on the side 1 label. Clearly this is a record that has been only very sparingly played. Excellent (EX) condition front side only laminated Shorewood Packaging Co. outer sleeve with firm and completely unscuffed edges including a rigid spine where all spine text remains fully intact. Each corner remains a near perfectly defined right angle with barely any rubbing at all and the opening edges remain firm with no fraying. All colours, art work, photos, and text remain beautifully vibrant and clearly defined. The only blemishes are a few small and barely noticeable laminate creases on the front side (nothing really) and a few small and light handling/storage marks on the reverse side including some very mild ring-wear towards the bottom of the reverse side and a very small dent towards the reverse side bottom left corner - each minor. Superb excellent plus (EX+) STEREO sound quality with no sticks, skips, repeats, distortion or background crackle and just the aforementioned two very low level clicks about two thirds of the way through Lady Margaret. Wonderful tone and crystal clear stereo reproduction throughout with every track remaining a great listen. What an underrated band Trees were. Comes with original excellent condition CBS advertising inner sleeve with no side splits, no edge fraying, and barely any age discolouration or creasing. Note that I always ship the vinyl in a new plain white inner sleeve in order to protect the original. A truly wonderful condition copy of this highly sought after 1970 UK 1st press folk gem with some psych, acid, and even a little prog all mixed in for good measure!

Note that I always insert the vinyl into a new plain white poly-lined inner sleeve in order to protect the original during postage, and separate this from the outer sleeve to prevent seam splits. I use thick cardboard stiffeners and take great care in my packaging to ensure as far as possible that these precious records reach their destination in exactly the same condition as when they leave me.
