T. REX: Christmas Bop/Xmas Riff/Flexi Message. Extreme Limited UK PROMO 45. TREXMAS 1
For auction here one of the most impossibly rare of all T Rex records. It is likely that worldwide Bolan completists and Glam connoisseurs don't even know of its existence. It was pressed in a minuscule run of just 30, maybe less, and handed out to a few people in the UK music business as a Christmas gift in 2006. It has the catalogue number TREXMAS 1. Why they just pressed up such a ridiculously small number, who knows? But the word 'rare' doesn't do it justice.
Fashioned from vivid scarlet vinyl, it was packaged in a numbered wrap around sleeve - this one is number 8 of 30. It was further presented with a red ribbon, sliver star, Merry Christmas card/label and a wonderful bit of Marc-like red feather boa! All of these extras are present and correct in this copy. Nothing is missing.
This one even still has the record company PR compliments slip. Should another of these ever surface it simply could not be as complete as this. Featuring the classic Marc label, the overall condition - disc cover and extras - is MINT and as far as I'm aware the record has NEVER BEEN PLAYED.
This is a obviously very, very, very rare T. Rex record, a TRUE collectors item in every sense of the phrase. A check on discogs shows it has never been offered for sale there. Yet here it is.
