Label/Cat#/Country: EMI  -  BLN 5002 - Original blue/red EMIlabel with Bolan logo and "Made In Denmark" at 9 o clock. 

Grade Vinyl/Cover: Vinyl is a fantastic Near Mint, with clean and shiny vinyl. No spindlemarks. Probably never played. Cover is EX- due to a little edge and cornerwear. From a collection where all albums were kept in thick plastic covers and from a nonsmoking enviroment. Poster is Near Mint too! (see photo)

Original 1st danish 1973 vinyl pressing. In single Garrod & Lofthouse cover and with original Tanx logo innersleeve. With the huge folded poster (MINT!)

"Tanx" is perhaps the most seductive of the T-Rex discography. Not since the self-titled album had the band produced such dreamy and breath taking surrealism. "Broken Hearted Blues" is like everyone's teenage lust preserved in a jar. Though many Tyrannosaurus Rex fans felt that the abbreviation to T.Rex was the ending to the Marc Bolan legacy, "Tanx" plays like a fish coming to the surface of the water for a breath of fresh air.

TANX was Marc Bolan's attempt at breaking big in America after having conquered the UK charts. After the phenomenal success of "Electric Warrior" and "The Slider," Marc's record company expected big things. What Marc gave them was "Tanx;" an album slightly different from its predecessors. Unfortunately, the critics and some fans didn't like the direction Marc took and the album was deemed a disappointment. Now 40 years later it seems a second evaluation, or re-discovery, if you will, finds an indepth production filled with tracks that grow with leaps and bounds with each spin....
