Description

THE TROGGS
" TROGGLODYNAMITE "
This one doesn't come around much anymore, cos, if you're into the Troggs, and you own one, you ain't gonna sell it, especially one like this that plays like the day it was first sold.
Released in 1967 on PAGE ONE RECORDS,
Catalogue number POL 001 (MONO)

The LABELS are nearly MINT but you can just about see a couple of spindle trails either side in angled light, otherwise they look untouched !

The MATRIX numbers are; Side One, POL 001  1 L * 1  Side Two, POL 001  2 L * 1 , indicating that this is one of the original MONO FIRST PRESSINGS !

VINYL
The VINYL looks near MINT with one or two very light paper scuffs, but has a beautiful sheen.
I have just play checked this LP and the sound is STRONG and DYNAMIC, with the FULL RANGE, as you always get with these early MONO pressings, Side One play grades  nr MINT on my system; Garrard 401 turntable with SME 3009 arm, Shure V-15 type III Cartridge going thru a Leak Varislope Pre-amp and Leak Stereo 50 Valve Amp then out of a pair of B & W DM 640 Speakers. MAGNIFICENT !!! If I didn't have my own copy I couldn't sell this one, it's a CLASSIC. Side Two also play grades nr MINT, no clicks, pops or skips (only the occasional static background sound in the silence between tracks that dust can occasionally create) this is one of the REALLY EVOCATIVE 60's ALBUMS that got played and played at parties. Which is why I reckon there's very few left with the vinyl in such good condition, be honest, did you always put them back in the sleeve like you do now ?

The front LAMINATED FLIPBACK SLEEVE has a few small creases, and a touch of shealfwear on the spine and corners (see photo). The unlaminated back cover has a little age discolouration and some finger marks near the opening edge but still looks EXCELLENT (see photo).
