Description
For sale: Self titled first LP with the Icelandic supergroup Trúbrot from 1969 on Parlophone Odeon (SCPMA 27). The album has a gatefold cover with lyrics printed on the inside. The record contains both self-penned material as well as cover versions of Lennon & McCartney, José Feliciano and Holland-Dozier-Holland, sung in Icelandic.
This is NOT a reissue. This is the original, released in 1969.
Record: VG+ (Minor ticks at the beginning of side number 1. Looks very good overall, plays very well and sounds very nice)
Cover: VG/VG+ (Looks very nice considering it's over 40 years old. The cover‘s biggest flaw is the bottom right corner that has been bent sometime (see picture number 1) and also the record has almost gone through the spine of the cover. However, the cover looks very nice overall, no holes, tears, rips, writing, stickers etc. – Please look at the pictures to make you own assessment)

Trúbrot were an Icelandic psychedelic/progressive rock band active in the late 1960s and early 1970s. They were one of the foremost groups on the Icelandic rock scene from this time period.
The band was formed in 1969 as an Icelandic supergroup composed of members of the bands Hljómar and Flowers. Their eponymous first album was released that same year, a collection of orchestral and organ-backed pop songs which included a cover of The Beatles's "Things We Said Today" and a five-minute mini-operaRichard Wagner's Tannhäuser. While the first album is entirely in Icelandic, later albums featured more English singing. 1971's Lifun came in an octagonal cover.
Several members of this band would become part of the group Náttúra, who released one album in 1972. Trúbrot itself broke up in 1973.
