This superb 100% complete UK 1st pressing of this legendary album marked a turning point in the band's sound
It dates from initial September 1971 release and is on Fly Records label: HIFLY 6
Matrix numbers: FLY 6 A-2U & FLY 6 B-2U
Stamper codes: 1/AL & 1/PT
Ace cutting engineer George Peckham's trademark cutting signature 'PORKY' & 'PECKO DUCK' are hand-etched into each respective run-out.
Disc weight: 141g
Housed in a matt 'E. J. Day Group' printed cover with neon hype sticker still attached to the front panel.
the album is complete with its printed inner-sleeve & 56 x 76 cm fold-out poster.
CONDITION
Disc: EXCELLENT +
This truly great-sounding album has received very little play and all tracks sound clean, clear and unworn. Both playing surfaces are completely unworn and are unmarked. Aside from a little discolouration in the centre of the side 1 label, there is little else to fault here.
Cover: EXCELLENT
Such a hard cover to find in anything approaching this condition. This highly presentable example was stored inside a plastic cover all its life and consequently both front and rear panels are free from any storage rubbing or ring wear. The hype sticker, which usually quickly fell off, is still in-place and in perfect condition. There are a few small spine wrinkles and a hint of wear to the corners and opening edges, but this really is one of the best we've had and it would be tough to upgrade.
Inner-sleeve: VERY GOOD -
Some age/storagewear with small seams split to one edge and the lower seam.
Poster: NEAR MINT
Factory-folded, & unhung and undamaged.
