Description
HERE is one of the kick-ass hot rarities of all time: the TUB JUG WASHBOARD BAND beating out their versions of "TUB JUG RAG" and "SAN." This is the kind of uninhibited hot playing that makes record collectors drool and reach for the benzedrine.
This group of unbooted characters memorably accompanied Ma Rainey on a lengthy session for Paramount that yielded more insanely over-the-top music. But here they are doing very nicely on their own.
This original 1928 Paramount 12671 is in worn but game G+ to V- condition. This record has seen fire, it's seen rain, it's known the caress of the steel needle, and it's been kicked around besides. But miraculously, it's still in one piece, and there's still plenty music left for you!

These records come from my private collection, which I have been accumulating since 1967, and now am downsizing! My highest priority in these eBay auctions is to give you the best possible idea of a record’s true condition and aesthetic value. I always post at least four clear images, showing the record fore and aft, a close-up of the label, and the whole disc, warts and all. If my purple prose won’t cut it, the pictures will! Shipping is done with expert care. Your record will brave Media Mail in a stout corregated box, between four sheets of cardboard and a couple of “packers.” I hope you are amused by these descriptions, and by the quality of service being offered.
