This is the original UK LP by THE TUBBY HAYES QUINTET, DOWN IN THE VILLAGE, 1962 1st Press STEREO on the FONTANA label 886 163 TY, complete with it's original inner sleeve
Recorded "Live" at the Ronnie Scott club, London
Matrix numbers are, Side 1:- 886163 1Y, Side 2:- 886163 2Y
Stamper codes are, Side 1:- 1#420 VVV, Side 2:-1#420 VVV
Both Matrix numbers and Stamper codes identify this as a Very 1st Pressing
The original UK 1962 Very 1st issue UK Garrod and Lofthouse flipback cover is in a a STRONG EX+ condition. The beautifully glossy thickly laminated front maintains all it's original bright vibrant colours, superb!!. The broad spine is fully intact, clean and perfectly readable. Only a little writing to the top left hand corner and a few ticks next to the track listing, other than that their is no unwanted writing and no seam splits
The vinyl is in condition a STRONG VG+++ condition!, gleaming with all it's original 'Just Pressed glossy shine and lustre!, I have played both sides (very carefully!) and but for a 'Shhh' sound in the run in dead wax area and one soon after in the spoken intro on side 1, **the vinyl plays MINT- **, playing with stunning crisp clear clarity, amazing Stereo sound!!!!. Their in NO sound distortion, NO skips, NO jumps, No sticking. The quality of this RARE 1962 UK Stereo 1st Pressing is TOP TOP QUALITY!, playing with stunning rich tones, warmth and depth!! THE CLARITY and CRISPNESS is SIMPLY SUBLIME!, a great LP and a sheer joy and privilage to listen too!, STUNNING!!
The lovely lightly textured Black with silver print STEREO Fontana label's are in EX+++ condition!!!, beautifully clean and factory fresh!, maintaining all their original bright fresh colour, their is no unwanted writing, no scuffs, the centre spindle hole shows little or no wear!, with only a few very light re-allignment traces, lovely labels!
The vinyl is housed in it's original 1962 UK Very 1st issue polythene lined inner sleeve. The inner sleeve is in again EX condition, no unwanted writing and no seam splits
