Tubby Hayes Quintet - Down In The Village LP

Fontana. 680 998 TL. Black/Silver textured label. Mono. UK-62


First press.


Original paper/plastic inner sleeve.
Flipback laminated front cover Garrod & Lofthouse Ltd.

Graded cover/record NM/??
Ultralight wear at lower right corner on an otherwise perfect cover.
Labels almost perfect with very light traces of use. The vinyl s hard to grade in the usual way - I describe it instead!
All LP except one flaw is NM and plays perfect. However this one flaw (that was overlooked when I first bought the LP this winter as MINT)
is a tiny but deep scratch at the very end of A3 (last track on side 1). It results in a constant repeat of the same revolution.
It is in the middle of the drum solo.

Besides from that disturbance a lovely record with Tubby Hayes (tenor, soprano saxes, vibes), Jimmy Deuchar (trumpet)
Gordon Beck (piano), Freddy Logan (bass), Allan Ganley (drums). Liner notes by Ronnie Scott.
Recorded live at the Ronnie Scott Club, London.
