Description
This is a 7" record called "TV Guide Present Elvis Presley". It is an interview record (the interview was probably done in 1956 at the apex of Elvis Mania!)with an announcer and Elvis' answers to his questions. There are four bands on this unusual disc and each band has a topic/question for Elvis to answer. Band one is "Pelvis Nickname", Band 2 is "Adult's Reaction", Band 3 is First Public Appearance" and Band 4 is "How Rockin' Motion Started". The disc is relatively short, time-wise and is on a light blue RCA Victor label with black print (see Scan). I've never played it so I'd say it's near mint. It has the Nipper dog and all the titles. The reverse side is blank. There is no singing on this record-only conversation. The disc comes in a paper sleeve with the interview sheet.
Also included is a 7" pink paper four-page booklet with a "suggested continuity" for the interview. It contains the banter (WORD FOR WORD) between Elvis and the announcer. Kinda cool!
I got this disc intact at a garage sale MANY YEARS ago. I doubt if it's an original, but I've never seen another like it. Still, if it is a reprint of the original set up, it is REALLY GOOD and the original is probably worth thousands. This would be the next best thing!
