This seminal pop psych album is much sought after by collectors and has been compared to the Small Faces Ogdens Nutgone Flake. It is beautifully packaged with a pop up scene emerging from the centre of the gatefold cover. I have included a 1999 review of the album below to give you a futher taste of it's delights:
"instrumentation on cuts like Mr Nice and Devendra – the latter featuring an arrangement of Indian string and percussive sounds not that far removed from Harrison’s Within You Without You. Elsewhere, the use of brass sections, string quartets, Clapton-esque wah-wah guitar, feedback, Keith Moon-ish drum patterns, backward masking, stereo panning and Leslie-d vocal effects; decorate a suite of generally spirited and captivating pop songs. "

Grading
The album plays through beautifully retaining its original rich stereo sound which highlights the over dubs, sound effects and lush harmonies which make this a real lost 60's pop psych classic. The sound quality is graded strong ex. Under bright light there are surface marks visible but they have minimal effect on the sound. Visual grade strict Vg.
A testament to the sound quality is there is hardly any noticeable surface noise on the run ins or in between tracks.
The superb pop up centre piece is in great condition (See photo) The front and back covers show some signs of wear but no rips, tears or major faults, and are graded vg+. The spine and edges are in strong ex shape with no damage.
The labels are very clean (See Photo)
In summary this really is a great album. I've been listening to this genre of music for 40 years and it really is a lost gem, though maybe not to Australians! The sound quality is superb and the inner pop up unique. This is a great oportunity to acquire this 60's classic. Don't miss it!!
