Here are TWO VERY RARE vintage original albums, a couple of the "holy grail" Chuck Berry records up for sale: Chuck Berry's SECOND and THIRD albums, these are scarce 1st pressings, and have been well loved, are relics but are still in "play worthy" condition! First, Chuck Berry's second album "One Dozen Berrys", released in 1958 by Chess Records, 1432 (mono), this is a first pressing with black and silver Chess labels, has a vintage store sticker on the back, cool! The rigid record has been well loved and only rates VG, is clean and has gloss, has many light marks and a couple of more moderate ones on both sides, has been PLAY TESTED! Plays from start to finish with very good sound quality, some light noise can be heard in quiet spots and between tracks, a couple of errant pops, but no skips, no jumps, still an enjoyable listen! The cover rates VG+, front is clean with nice portrait of Chuck, has good color, has edge/corner wear and top and bottom seams have been neatly repaired with non-yellowing tape, binder edge is readable, has a couple of old tape marks, the back has many linear indentations (somewhat unnoticeable) , has some light stains, no writing, still a decent cover after all these years (see all photos). PLUS, Chuck Berry's third album "Berry's On Top", released in 1959 by Chess Records, 1435 (mono). The vintage rigid record has also been well loved and only rates VG, is clean and has gloss, has many light marks and a couple of more moderate ones on both sides, has been PLAY TESTED! Plays from start to finish with good sound quality, some light noise can be heard in quiet spots and between tracks, a couple of errant pops, nothing heavy, DOES HAVE one jump in "Rollover Beethoven" (did not repeat on my system) and otherwise an enjoyable listen! The cover rates VG+, front is clean with nice photo, has good color, has edge/corner wear and only one small tape repair at top opening, binder edge is readable, the back has some faint stains, faint pen writing, tiny punch holes (see all photos).
