Description
I’ve been an eBay member for over 17 years with over 1700 100% positive feedback. This is a relatively new account for music and memorabilia only.
Records are visually graded, but I do listen to intros for crackle and clarity, and play through any marks.
TYRANNOSAURUS REX – MY PEOPLE WERE FAIR AND HAD SKY IN THEIR HAIR… BUT NOW THEY’RE CONTENT TO WEAR STARS ON THEIR BROWS – 1st UK MONO 1968 – VG/G
Debut album from Marc Bolan and his original partner Steve Peregrine Took. Complete with original lyric sheet.
1st UK mono pressing. Matrices:
Side 1: XCARX 43-1G – Side 2: XCARX 43-1G
Graded as VG as there are a few visible surface marks and quite a lot of sleeve marks and light hairlines under a bright light. I don’t think there is anything deep enough to interfere with play. I played through the worst surface scuff and couldn’t hear anything nasty. Spindle marks on both labels.
Light crackle at the start of both sides for the first 15-30 seconds. Side 1 track 2 has a couple of swishy noises in the first few seconds. I haven’t played it all, the bits that I have played sound fine, but there may be occasional crackle and pop.
Sleeve probably only G. Corners and edges are rubbed, with a few short laminate cracks and the unlaminated back is a bit dirty. The lyric sheet has a few age spots, but great that it is still complete. Inner sleeve is of the period, but unsure if it is the original.
A playable copy of a rare album, I’ve priced it at about half what I would expect for an EX copy.
