TYRANNOSAURUS REX T-REX 1968 PSYCH LP WITH LYRIC INSERT
Artist:Tyrannosaurus Rex (T-Rex) Title:Prophets, Seers & Sages The Angels Of The Ages Label:Regal Zonophone (made in Great Britain) Year of release:1968 Catalog/Label number:SLZR 1005 stereo Condition of vinyl:VG++ The glossy LP is super clean! Only a few tiny hairline surface marks. No scratches. Labels have no spindle marks. There are initials on side one label. There is a hardly noticeable warp when playing side two that does not come close to affecting play. No warp noticed when playing side one. Play grade:Mint- The entire album sounded great, and played very well. No hiss, clicks or skips. Condition of record cover:VG+ Cover shows ring wear and a couple minor creases. No cuts, holes, tears or writing. No seam splits. Lyric insert looks Mint! Notes:From Dave Thompson at allmusic: "The most underrated of Tyrannosaurus Rex's four albums, Prophets, Seers & Sages was recorded just six months after their debut and adds little to the landscapes which that set mapped out. There is the same reliance on the jarring juxtaposition of rock rhythms in a folky discipline; the same abundance of obscure, private mythologies; the same skewed look at the latest studio dynamics, fed through the convoluted wringer of the duo's imagination — the already classic pop of the opening "Deboraarobed" is further dignified by its segue into the same performance played backwards, a fairly groundbreaking move at a time when even the Beatles were still burying such experiments deep in the mix. But if the album itself found the duo rooted to the musical spot, still it delivered some of Marc Bolan's most resonant songs. The nostalgia-flavored "Stacey Grove" and the contrarily high-energy "Conesuela" were as peerless as any of Bolan's more feted compositions. Equally intriguing is the confidence which exudes from "Scenes of Dynasty," a successor of sorts to the last album's "Scenesof," but presented with just percussion and some strange vocal noises to accompany Bolan's singing — at a time when "singing" was maybe not the term a lot of listeners would employ for his vocals. The excited "one-two-three-four" count-in only adds to the dislocation, of course. Finally, the owlishly contagious "Salamanda Palaganda" offers a first-hand peek into the very mechanics of Bolan's songwriting. Other composers stuck for a rhyme either reach for the thesaurus or abandon the lyric altogether. Bolan simply made one up, and in the process created a whole new language — half nonsense, half mystery, but wholly intoxicating. Just like the rest of the album, in fact."
All unsealed LP's are thoroughly inspected and checked for warps on a turntable. Many are then play graded. If played it will be mentioned in the description. All come with a new 3 mil poly outer sleeve for protection. All unsealed LP's also are shipped inside a new inner sleeve.

Grading
Mint Record : Perfect record. No marks or defects.
Mint Album cover: Perfect cover. No marks or defects.
M- or NM Record: Nearly perfect. High gloss. At most, a light scuff appears. Plays very well with no surface noise.
M- or NM Album cover: Nearly perfect with only minor signs of wear. There should be no ring wear.
VG++ Record: Very clean. Perhaps some light surface scuffs, no scratches. Should play and look very good with faint, if any, audible surface noise.
VG++ Album cover: Some minor ring wear, but otherwise the artwork should be mostly unaffected. Also, there can be some minor creases in the corners but no splits in seams.
VG+ Record: The record shows signs of use, but plays well despite quite visible surface marks and possibly some light scratches. This grading is often used for records which have not been cared for perfectly but still play well overall. A few very faint clicks may be allowed, and will be included in the description.
VG+ Album cover: May have corners that may be slightly bent, but not broken. There may be wear to the seams but no tears or holes. Perhaps some small writing.
VG Record: Looks used, light scratches, no gouges. Still plays fairly well. Surface noise will be evident upon playing, especially in soft passages and during a song's intro and fade, but will not overpower the music.
VG Album cover: There may be seam splitting, but not complete separation of the sleeve panels from each other. There will be noticeable ring wear, but most of the cover should still be in good condition.
