On offer here is a very rare LP (especially in this condition!!!!) by Tyrannosaurus Rex called 'Unicorn' and is a 1969 MONO UK 1st pressing!!!! THIS LP IS VIRTUALLY IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND IN MONO - ESPECIALLY IN THIS CONDITION!!!! THIS LP IS WELL KNOWN FOR TURNING UP IN A BATTERED STATE WITH A WORN COVER AND RECORD. BUT NOT THIS ONE!!!! THIS ONE HAS A BEAUTIFULLY FLAT LOOKING COVER WITH MEGA SHINY LAMINATE AND A STUNNING RECORD!!!! NOT ONLY THAT BUT THIS IS ONE OF THE EARLIEST 1ST PRESSINGS WITH 1/G 1/A MOTHER AND STAMPER CODES AND A SAMPLE STICKER ON ONE LABEL!!!! IT ALSO SHOWS WITHOUT DOUBT THAT THE REGAL ZONOPHONE LABEL COLOUR HAS ABSOLUTELY NOTHING TO DO WITH AGE OR PRESSING ORDER - AS THIS RECORD HAS THE RED MONO REGAL ZONOPHONE LABEL - AND CLEARLY ONE OF THE EARLIEST 1ST PRESSINGS YOU CAN POSSIBLY FIND!!!! NOT ONLY THAT (AS MOST PEOPLE WILL ALREADY KNOW) - BUT THERE WERE PLENTY OF REGAL ZONOPHONE LPS PRESSED WELL BEFORE THIS LP - WHICH WERE ALSO ON THE RED REGAL ZONOPHONE LABEL (LIKE THE MOVES 1ST LP FOR EXAMPLE) AND NEVER ON A BLUE LABEL. THE BLUE LABELS WHICH OCCASSIONALLY TURN UP ON THIS LP ARE CLEARLY INTERESTING AND AN ODDITY - BUT DEFINITELY NOT AN INDICATION OF PRESSING ORDER AND ARE CERTAINLY NO EARLIER THAN THE RED LABELS!!!! AND ANOTHER THING WHICH SHOWS WITHOUT ANY DOUBT - THAT THIS IS ONE OF THE EARLIEST POSSIBLE UK 1ST MONO PRESSINGS IS THAT IT HAS 'SOLD IN THE UK' TEXT AT THE BOTTOM OF EACH LABEL!!!! THIS WAS REMOVED ON ALL LATER PRESSINGS AND PHASED OUT IN MID TO LATE 1969!!!! THIS LP IS WITHOUT DOUBT ONE OF THE EARLIEST POSSIBLE UK MONO 1969 1ST PRESSINGS ON THE 1ST PRESS RED REGAL ZONOPHONE LABEL, 1ST PRESS 'PATENTS APPLIED FOR' PLAIN WHITE INNER SLEEVE, 'SOLD IN THE UK' TEXT, AND 1ST PRESS MONO 'E.J.DAY' LAMINATED GATEFOLD COVER!!!! THIS LP MASSIVELY RARE IN MONO - AND VIRTUALLY IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND IN THIS CONDITION - SO DONT MISS OUT ON THIS MEGA RARE OPPORTUNITY!!!! This is an ORIGINAL Regal Zonophone UK MONO 1st pressing from 1969 and is in STUNNING condition!!!! The record is pressed on THICK quality vinyl. The Cat. No is LRZ 1007 on the ORIGINAL 1st Press Regal Zonophone Label (see picture) and is a UK MONO 1st pressing!!!! All the tracks are pure quality Tyrannosaurus Rex at their best!!!! Any fan of Tyrannosaurus Rex, or 60s music in general, will want to have this in their collection!!!!
The record labels are in STUNNING condition (see pictures) with NO wear, NO writing, and only a few light spindle marks!!!! The vinyl is in STUNNING condition!!!! Most of these 60s LPs had been to a lot of wild parties and are usually found totally worn out, and almost unplayable. This one is NOT and has NO scratches, NO hairlines. only 2 or 3 light scufflines, 1 MEGA light and NON sounding scuff mark, and only a VERY few of the lightest paper scuffs only visible under light!!!! ITS AS SIMPLE AS THAT!!!! THE RECORD STILL RETAINS ITS ORIGINAL 'JUST PRESSED' LOOK AND HAS AN ABSOLUTELY AMAZING SHINE TO IT!!!! It is great to find that the record plays as STUNNINGLY as the visual with NO pops, NO jumps, NO sticking, NO hiss and barely ANY crackle AT ALL!!!! There is NO groovewear either and NO distortion. The record must grade Excellent (Minus) if not better and is EXTREMELY hard to find in this condition!!!! Believe me this record is NOT overgraded in ANY way!!!! I use STRICT RC grading standards - it is not in my interest not to!!!! Brillant!!!! The record also comes in its ORIGINAL 'patents applied for' plain white inner sleeve!!!! The 1st Press Gatefold Laminated 'E.J.Day' MONO Cover is in STUNNING condition!!!! It has NO edge wear, NO spinal wear, only VERY slight corner wear (NOT through the colour), MEGA shiny laminate, only a VERY few light creases (cover is VERY flat looking), and NO writing!!!! The opening edges are beautifully straight with NO feathering!!!! Even the unlaminated inside is in STUNNING condition with NO writing, NO grubbyness, and NO yellowing!!!! This Cover must grade FULL Excellent if not better and is INCREDIBLY hard to find in this condition!!!! THIS IS A MASSIVELY RARE LP IN MONO AND VIRTUALLY IMPOSSIBLE IN THIS CONDITION - SO DONT MISS OUT ON THIS MEGA RARE OPPORTUNITY!!!!
