Description
From France, this is Blue Star Records GLP 3509, The Tal Farlow Album, a grey, trumpet label, original 10" mono issue of this beautiful guitar record featuring Oscar Pettiford, Joe Morello and Barry Galbraith. The record is in VG++ condition showing only light marks and playing quietly throughout except for some light background crackle on side 1 track 3. Blue Star was licensed to produce Norgran product in France and the cover is the original David Stone Martin Norgran cover with a stamp showing the Blue Star catalog number. They also produced records with a wonderful bright sound not heard much in American 10" records of the time. The cover shows a bit of shelf wear, a small name in pen on the front, and a name stamp on the back but is otherwise excellent and intact. The labels are excellent with no spindle marks. The original inner sleeve is included. This is a fine collector's grade copy of this rare 10". The record has been cleaned on a VPI 17 and played on a Linn Sondek LP12.
