Description
Spirit of Eden 1st pressing from 1988 on the UK Parlophone label. Matrix A-1-1-1/B-1-1-1. The record comes housed in an original gatefold cover printed in England. Also included is the original lyric inner sleeve. 100% original and 100% complete.
Cover (Ex+) In absolutely stunning condition. Shiny like new and perfectly white. No marks or creases. To all intents and purposes it looks like a new sleeve. The spine is 100% intact and the overall the cover retains excellent rigidity.
Vinyl (Ex/Ex+) Again has been well cared for and is in stunning condition. It looks shiny like new and clearly has only seen light use. Under close inspection I can only make out a couple of very light marks. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an, at least, EXCELLENT level of playback. There's some very light static during the intro on both sides and on Side 1 a tiny mark causes 3 or 4 ticks just before the harmonica kicks in. But then the harmonica lets rip and the audio settles down immediately into a very high standard of playback. Fantastic dynamics and a really nice low noise level. Any low-level interference from the intro just seems to dissipate and melt away. Really outstanding acoustics and a memorable rendition.
Inner (Ex+) One tiny pin prick in the corner. Otherwise pretty much perfect.
