Description
This is the original 1978 UK issue the yellow & blue Sire labels, the WB credits on the labels and the A-1 B-1 matrices & -1 -1 stampers of the very first presses.
The second album by Talking Heads was recorded during March to April at Island's Compass Point Studio in Nassau, Bahama and released in July 1978. The album was their first collaboration with Brian Eno as co-producer and the lyrics of the songs are musings on the theme of love & work, hence the title. Their cover of Al Green's 'Take Me To The River' became a hit single and helped to bring the band to a wider audience on both sides of the Atlantic.
The sound reproduction is EX+, still clear & precise throughout with no skips, sticks or jumps, but there is some brief background noise during the run in grooves.
Overall, it is a really great, loud & clear listen.
The matrix nos. are; K-56531, A-1 Talking Heads-A mother stamper -1, B-1 Talking Heads-B mother stamper -1. This is one of the earliest pressings of the original 1978 UK stereo issue of this classic album!
All LP's are sent seperate from the covers in cardboard record mailers with plastic covers, bubble wrap and cardboard stiffeners to protect the albums! UK Signed For Postage is £4.50 for the first LP & is the same for up to four single LP's or two double LP's or more up to 2kg.
Royal Mail post to Europe (All EU countries & non EU countries, including Russia, Finland, Norway, Sweden, etc.), the Rest of the World (Zone 1, including Canada, Japan, Brazil, Korea, China, South Africa, etc.) and the Rest of the World Zones 2 & 3 (the USA, Australia & New Zealand etc).
All Airmail is limited to 5 or 6 lp's due to 2kg weight restrictions.
