Up for sale is an exceptional, collector-grade original 1980 US first pressing of Talking Heads' monumentally influential masterpiece album, "Remain in Light." Produced by the visionary Brian Eno, this revolutionary record seamlessly fused post-punk angularity with dense, interlocking African polyrhythms and funk baselines, serving as a landmark milestone that completely redefined alternative rock. It is an absolute "all-killer, no-filler" masterpiece packed with timeless new wave radio staples including "Crosseyed and Painless," "Houses in Motion," "Born Under Punches," and their legendary signature anthem, "Once in a Lifetime."
**Value-Add Features for Serious Vinyl Collectors:** * **True 1980 US First Pressing:** Features the authentic original early-1980s solid yellow Sire Records center labels displaying the classic multi-color circular logo layout. * **Legendary Sterling Sound Master:** The dead wax runouts proudly feature the crisp machine-stamped "STERLING" notation. These initial Winchester factory cuts mastered at Sterling are highly preferred by audiophiles for their wide dynamic headroom, punchy transient bass response, and crystal-clear high-frequency separation of the dense synthesizer and percussion layers. * **Beautiful Shrink Display Value:** The outer sleeve presents beautifully under the original wrap, completely immune to the standard ring wear rubbing, edge scaling, or seam splits that plague standard vintage copies.
