Description
Prestige Bluesville 1043, “Don’t Jive Me” with Tampa Red, guitar and vocals, from 1962; this is the 1964 blue trident pressing. The vinyl plays mostly at NM, but there are some faint ticks and a few isolated light pops on the inner tracks. The jacket is in the original shrink wrap. It would be about like new except for some corner wear at bottom left. A slight ring outline appears to be mainly on the shrink. There are no bends, writing, or stamps. Songs are “How Long”, “Gin-Headed Woman”, “Don’t Jive Me”, “You Better Leave My Gal Alone”, “Dark and Stormy Night”, “Don’t You Lie To Me”, “Georgia, Georgia”, “Jelly Whippin’ Blues”, “Chicago Moan Blues”, “Don’t Dog Your Woman”, and “Drinkin’ My Blues Away”. Shipping is $4.00 media mail, $8.00 priority mail within the continental U.S.; $18.00 regular airmail to the U.K., Europe, Japan, Korea, Australia, and New Zealand. Additional LPs in a single package are $1.00 extra within U.S. and Canada, $2.00 elsewhere. For overseas shipments, registered mail is strongly recommended at $13.00 extra. Many old records are practically antiques and should be treated that way. This LP will be packaged with the record inside an inner sleeve but outside the jacket; both are placed inside a sealed outer sleeve and shipped inside a special oversized handcrafted mailer with padding on all sides. It is designed thick enough not to be bent in transit and strong enough to withstand a drop from a second-story window. More than two LPs together may be mailed inside a heavy Bags Unlimited pizza-style box. Your LP should arrive in the same condition as on the day it was shipped. All used LPs are play-graded on a VPI turntable with Audioquest tonearm and Grado cartridge. I am also offering an original 1960 concert poster this week.
