Description

Widely known as the album where Edgar Froese took Tangerine Dream to higher ambient elevations. 'Alpha Centauri' is a space shuttle lift off set to organs, echoed flutes, synthesizers, and some of the best Nick Mason style drum moves not on an Pink Floyd bootleg. Actually much of this album could have benefitted greatly with some good guitar solos and effects, but let's move on. It's a very nice Kosmiche Keeper, Quadrophonic pressing on the Italian PDU label and in honest EX/EX. Glossy gatefold has a few slight creases and no bends, tears, or seam splits. Vinyl retains its original 54 year old European shine and sounds amazing. A few expected light lines on side one and some low crackle on the quieter moments might grade this a VG+ for those torturing their records on a Crosley suitcase, but a little surface sound takes nothing away from this space rock monster.
