Description

 Rare original stereo HMV box-set of Wagner's Tannhauser, featuring Elisabeth Grummer, Hans Hopf, Dietrich Fischer-Dieskau and Gottlob Frick. Performed by the Chorus and Orchestra of the German State Opera, Berlin, conducted by Franz Konwitschny. White/Gold labels. Contains libretto booklet and insert. Box is in EX++ condition, with just minor wear and a little expected rubbing to the gold writing on the spine. Vinyl is also in EX++ condition, with just a very few extremely minor marks which do not significantly affect play. Libretto and insert are likewise in EX++ condition - the booklet has rusty staples but is in fantastic condition otherwise! A fantastic opportunity to own a very rare stereo boxset of a classic recording!
