Here's a copy of a cornerstone modern soul piece, the original 1976 single by Tavasco.  Produced by Leo Nocentelli (misspelled on label) and written by Joe Modeliste, this 45 is highly sought-after and has been reissued. Rest assured, this is not the reissue.  This is a DJ copy, with some writing on each side, as can be seen in the photos. This A-side is truly in NM shape, a grading I hesitate to give ANY record. There are no marks whatsoever within the grooves on "Love Is Trying To Take a Hold On Me" and it plays perfectly, with no noise whatsoever. On "Stay With Me" there are some minor clicks within the first 20 seconds of the song, owing to a stain on the wax itself- this is not a scratch nor a cut and might be something that could be cleaned off.  However, "Stay With Me" is not the better of the two tracks, and the A-side's condition is stellar. This is an extremely obscure and in-demand piece, and a hell of a good song to boot. Matrix/runout groove on "Love Is.." reads "VRRNP-695.EP  RR". No Reserve.
