Description
Up for sale is Peter Tchaikovsky’s Serenade for String Orchestra / Italian Capriccio stereo LP record, issued in 1977 in the USSR by the Melody record label. It was performed by the State Symphony Orchestra of the USSR, conducted by E Svetlanov.
The Melody logo also states “Ministry of Culture of the USSR” and “All union firm of Gramophroma Recordings” (from the logo in the upper right corner on the back). The left bottom corner on the back says “Aprelevka Order of Lenin Gramophone Record Plant. 1977”. I used Google Translate so the translation from Russian may be imperfect. The record is SEALED in shrink wrap and still has the Peaches record store price tag on the upper left corner of the front cover. The cover feels to be made of a thinner kind of cardboard as it is some wrinkling/waving of the cardboard beneath the shrink wrap. There is also some minor creasing to the cover as well due to the wrinkling of the cardboard.
