Tea and Symphony -An Asylum for the Musically Insane LP 1969 Harvest 1st Issue, Very Rare, EX Condition This is a very rare record and also an excellent one. Why it barely sold is a mystery to me but its enduring popularity and increasing desirability are much easier to understand.
It's been owned by one person from new and he looked after it well - this was his "keeper" copy, the other one has aged a lot less gracefully!
The vinyl is in Excellent condition, I played it and it sounds fabulous with no distortion, pops, sticks or jumps. It's bright, warm and dynamic sounding - I hope the winning bidder has a high quality hi-fi to get the full glory from this record.
The laminated gatefold sleeve is VG+, the corners are a little rounded and there's a little top and bottom edge wear but nothing serious. The spine is great and overall the sleeve is doing well for 40 years of existence just like the record.
This really is a great record and one that doesn't show up very often. You could put up with a second rate copy or you could grab this one while the chance is available.

Like many of the records I'm selling today this came from the large collection of a busy man now aged 60. Due to the size of his collection many of the LPs were only played once or twice from new - some were never played and they were all properly looked after. His musical taste was towards the avant garde/free end of the jazz spectrum. I will be selling selected records from his collection over the next few years so please add me to your favourites list!
