Description
I am offering for auction a Reel to Reel Tape Deck model RS-1500US Tehcnics by Panasonic. It is made by the Matsushita Corporation of Japan. It is in very good condition with some small exceptions. It has some small scuffs and chips on the edges of the Rosewood panels on the sides. Nothing horribly unsightly, and I took a photo of the worst place. One of the bulbs on one of the VU meters has burned out, The meter works fine, just doesn't light up. I have seen the replacements available here on eBay. Also there is only one of the original Reels from Techics, but it has a perfectly serviceable Ampex Reel that just doesnt match. I also have seen replacements available here for sale.
I just picked it up from a service tech that I use. He cleaned, lubed, adjusted everything and said all was working well.
The man I purchased the unit from was, I believe, the original owner. He also gave me approximately 28 tapes that he recorded of mostly Rock and Roll. Beatles, Hendrix, Elvis, etc. Also there is one prerecorded Moody Blues Reel in the original box. I will include these for the high bidder to enjoy, or record over if you wish.
I will package this with the care that a fine piece of vintage audio equipment deserves.
It is quite heavy and shipping in the 48 States should run about $70 plus or minus.
I am willing to meet someone who would like to pick the unit up, and will drive from the Dallas area about up to about 100 miles or so for $30 for time and gas.
