This is part of a larger auction of original, 1950's-era blues, doo-wop & R&B 45's. For this round, the focus is on smaller labels like Ace, Baton, Ember, Aladdin and more.  There are several nice rarities and a handful of bonus listings of records on *really* small labels.

Format: 45 rpm 7" single


Year: 1950


Notes: Translucent red vinyl, 1st pressing on 45. This is a fun one.  It's a record by Brother Bones who was a swing-style jazzman.  This recording was originally released in 1950 on 78, but I believe the 45 wasn't released until 1954.  The music here is old-time jazz.  Good stuff and the record itself is really nice looking.  Tough to find with the original Tempo sleeve.


Vinyl Condition: VG, vinyl is very clean with a handful of surface scuffs. No really bad ones. Has been play tested and sounds really good.  Clean and clear with just a couple of light crackle spots.  Labels are really nice with no tears/writing/stickers and just a bit of light scuffing.


Sleeve Condition: G+, original sleeve has some wear at the top and a small split at the bottom.  Also has several wrinkles and some pencil writing. Not great, but it's there and is intact.
