Description
This is an auction of a rare Teo Macero - Explorations - VERY RARE Debut DLP-6 10" DG Deep Groove - with Teo Macero, Lanny Di Jay, Charles Mingus, Lou Labella and Ed Shaughnessy (the Johnny Carson "Tonight Show" Doc Severinson band's drummer). An absolutely great Hard Bop accordion band with a very young Charles Mingus and tunes with Ornette Coleman-like passages.
Record is visually graded as VG+ with some light hairlines - but PLAY GRADES VG++ to VG+ with only slight background noise. Cover is VG+ with a slight wear on front, more wear on back with aging, some edge wear and a 7" split at top from center to opening egde.
Part of a great vintage 50s & 60s Jazz collection just acquired and being auctioned this week.
